Ashaninka vs. Tsatsayaku Cacao?

We often get asked what the difference is between the two different varieties of cacao that we sell…

Well, first things first; all our cacao is organic, raw, gmo-free, fair trade and vegan!

The nutritional composition/comparison of the two different cacao’s that we offer are pretty similar, see diagram below. Their origins differ; Tsatsayaku is from Ecuador and Ashaninka is from Peru, as well as the variety of bean.

Speaking personally from experience of drinking both varieties, as well as feedback received from customers the Tsatsayaku is smoother, compared to the Ashaninka which is slightly more bitter in taste.

If you drink cacao regularly you start to notice the differences between them, and also how the cacao affects your journey/meditation. It's quite literally a matter of taste and which cacao medicine works for you the best :) If you haven't tried either of these, you could start by trying a 200g of each and see which one is your favourite.
