Release Fear & Remember Peace Ritual
Release the heaviness of the world and reconnect with the quiet wisdom of the earth, through our medicine Ritual Cacao. This month our Monthly Ritual releases fear, tunes into nature’s rhythm and connects you back to your heart.
Brew Your Cacao with Intention
As you prepare and brew your cacao, whisper into it:
“I give myself permission to let go of any fear, anxiety and stress.
I return to stillness. I return to my heart. I return to me.”
As you cook up and prepare your cacao. be mindful, and let each stir be slow and deliberate. Tune into your heart and your body, and slow down your mind.
Prepare Your Space
Turn off your phone. Put it away. Let yourself truly disconnect.
Ideally, do this ritual outside: in a garden, a park, by a tree, on the earth - where ever calls you. If not, bring some natural elements into your space, stones, leaves, water, flowers.
Light a candle or incense to mark this as sacred time. Let the flame be a symbol of the inner light you are returning to.
Opening Your Ritual Space
Hold your Ritual Cacao with both hands, say this invocation as many times as feels good, and then close your eyes feeling that stillness and peace.
“Dear Cacao Spirit,
In this moment, I silence the noise of the world.
I release the weight that is not mine.
Help me feel the natural rhythm of the Earth,
The truth in my breath. The peace in my body.
The love in my heart.”
As you drink you cup slowly and mindfully, invite the Cacao Spirt to open your heart, soothe your nervous system, and calm your mind.
Nature Connection + Grounding Meditation
Sit or lie down with your body in contact with the earth, (or floor if indoors).
Visualise roots growing from your body into the earth, grounding you.
Imagine all fear, negativity, and anxiety flowing down into the soil, to be composted by Mother Earth.
With each inhale, draw in peace and harmony.
With each exhale, release tension, stress and worry.
Spend 10–20 minutes in silence, just breathing and listening to nature around you, while practicing the visualisation above.
Journaling or Reflection Prompts
Here are some questions to help you go a bit deeper. Use these as gentle invitations, not requirements. Reflect on the questions and see what answers come bubbling up from your unconconscious.
What fear or heaviness am I carrying that’s not mine?
What part of me is asking for gentleness right now?
What can I unplug from, in order to return to peace?
How can I listen more to the voice of nature, and less to the noise of the world?
Release Fear
Write a fear or heavy thought on a piece of paper.
Fold it, hold it to your heart, imagining that fear leaving your body and going into the soil or ground beneath you.
Then bury the piece of paper in the soil or burn it safely, offering it back to the earth.
Say: “This is no longer mine to carry. I let it go.”
If you’re outside, offer water or a pinch of cacao to the earth in gratitude.
Close in Gratitude
Hold your cacao cup once more and say.
“Thank you, cacao, for being my ally in reminding me what is true.
Thank you, Earth, for holding me.
Thank you self for making time to come back into balance.
I am still. I am grounded. I am back in harmony with nature.”
Optional additions to help you manage your fear and disconnect.
Barefoot walking, lying under a tree, or quietly observing nature regularly helps you tune into the healing energy of nature.
